I came when it was slow, yet they were out of an item that I wanted. I substituted something else. The food was good. I went to get ice cream and was told that, too, was out. I find it funny that I was still charged the full price for the meal but was not allowed to have the full dinner.
COVID-19 still allows: Walk-in, take-out, and full menu (except no ice cream when you leave). I grew up near the original in Texas, and so this is how barbecue is *supposed to be.*
My family made this a weekly thing, with sliced brisket, lots of sauce, smoked sausage, sides of beans, coleslaw, and potato salad. Watched sports or movies together while chowing down in front of the TV— real “comfort food.”
