“That was outstanding. We had the calamari, tuna tartare, and crab cake appetizers; two sea bass, one chicken, and one scallops entries, and then the coconut cream pie, flourless espresso chocolate pie, creme brulee, and warm apple tart desserts.

The food was outstanding. That was among the very finest sea bass I have ever enjoyed. The coconut cream pie was delicious. Really, everything was outstanding.

And the service was the best. Everyone was friendly and Autumn, our waitress, was the best: friendly, funny, helpful.

Yes, you pay more but with the kids home from college over the Christmas break, I cannot think of a better treat than enjoy a superb meal at The Capital Grill!“

“Having been a cook there and working directly with the kitchen head and resident chef, it was fast, fun and sporadically busy-then dead. All that melts away when you see the view of SLC and the campus sprawled out before you. The Philly cheese steak sandwiches and grilled cheese are the go to items when I was involved. It's a great place and excellent view, would highly recommend.“

The Vault speakeasy attached had the best mixed drink I've ever had, some kind of lovely rosemary, gin, concoction that they lit on fire in front of me.
