Being someone that doesn't drink, i still enjoyed being here. I just got a coke and a grilled cheese on a bingo night. Taylor (i think) was our waitress, total sweetheart running her butt off. The grilled cheese was delicious and the coke was good. Of course being on state street its a bit sketchy of an area and having to park on the next block over wasn't ideal as it's pretty dimly lit. Although that doesn't affect the bar itself, it does make the inside of the bar feel like a safe haven from all that sketch outside. I highly suggest just getting a ride share or taxi here as bringing your own vehicle isn't ideal either for parking reasons mainly.

Great atmosphere. They have live music on the weekends. Most of the employees are friendly and reasonable. The food is excellent, even with the kitchen under repairs and a limited menu.

Piper down is awesome. It's such a cool Irish pub with surprisingly great food and a reasonably priced menu. Super good vegan options as well. Great place, great atmosphere, great service :-)

I found it very odd that I went to use the restroom and closed the door for privacy, only to be followed in by an employee less than 30 seconds later who locked the door in the open position. Anybody could have watched me use the restroom. The wait staff was awesome though, I will give credit where credit is due. The food menu was pretty limited, with just a handful of items. The items I did have were not terrible, but also not great. Also worth noting, parking is a mess.
I came ONCE there is a door guy asks for I. D , ppl were to Busy to check on my order I had Scotch eggs. THEN NEVER RETURNED.
