We haven't eaten at Rumbi for a 5+ years, not because we didnt like it, but because the locations we lived near all closed over those years. We went back and I was looking forward to it, but ended up surprised, and not in a good way. The prices were much higher, the portions were much smaller, and the food wasn't as flavorful or well-presented as it once was. The service was great, so thumbs up there, but otherwise, it wasn't worth what we spent on dinner.
This Rumbi is one of our go-to spots. When the Kahuna burger was added to the menu it was the only burger. It was like someone said Design me the best burger possible, and that’s what they did and added it to the menu. Love it! Has a teri sauce and pineapple ring (from a can, but still delicious). Perla is great and I think she knows my voice over the phone. I usually get a takeout order and call it in over the phone so there is no wait. I recommend the sweet potato fries,...
Really good standard Rumbi food. And the restaurant was clean. Though it was a little strange how much one of the workers kept coming over to our table and cleaning things up as we were just trying to talk ( in a group of about 8 of us). Alsmost felt like she was trying to get us to leave, but we had not been there super long. And the place was mostly empty. So maybe she was just trying to be attentive. Not sure, but it kept messing with our ability to just relax and have a nice...
