Fantastic food and wonderful people. I was visiting from Seattle and ate here. Loved it

Ms. Kaur was one of the most polite, knowledgeable and warm people we've met in almost all of the Indian restaurants we've been to.

Not only was the food amazing (lamb and vegetable dishes) but the presentation, decor and ambiance inside was spectacular.

You know when bottles water comes out and she shows you pictures of dishes on her phone on how they make it shows they care a lot and have high interest. Very clean and modern inside and bathrooms spotless! (Visited in June 2026)

Literally my favorite spot for Indian food. The owners are so nice and the food is delicious. I work nearby and often order lunch for pick up.

I love Indian food and have tried most places around the valley and hands down Star on India is THE BEST! It’s leagues above any other Indian food I’ve had, and honestly may be one of the best restaurants in the valley. The food is always consistent, the staff is wonderful, and the flavors are amazing. I also feel very confident in my assessment as my friend who is a citizen of India and the US agrees with me. Cannot recommend this place enough!!

This is THE best Indian food in SLC, every time my wife and I go in the staff is incredibly kind, personable, and you can feel how much love is put into the food. This is the only place we go for this exceptional cuisine.

This place is truly the best!! The food was delicious and our server was very kind. I love that there are free appetizers and they have the best garlic naan I’ve ever had. We will definitely be back!

I am advanced Sommelier visiting here in Salt Lake City. I had mentioned you to a friend that I wanted some northern Indian food and he told me to go to star of India. Let me explain, I have been fond of Indian food since my early youth throwing up in Queens New York. I am thrilled to have found a restaurant of this quality in Salt Lake City. I’ve been here for now two months and I will tell you this is the best restaurant I’ve been to so far yes, that’s it. I’m probably going to spell her name wrong……Pirin . The owner was Charming informative, and quite knowledgeable of Northern Indian cuisine. Take it for me run don’t walk. This is the best restaurant in Salt Lake City.

I’m terrible at trying new things and holy smokes, I’m glad my friend made me come along! Even my picky toddler had fun trying it all.
