Very fun and unique restaurant. Other reviews said the service was subpar which made me a little nervous. I thought our service was excellent as was the food and the drinks. The atmosphere is one of a kind and will be going back
Love this place, been coming here for many years. I like some of the recent changes, like opening up the upper floor and adding a basement bathroom. But I hope the new ownership doesn't change too many things, or change the vibe too much. For example, having the bathroom downstairs is great, and the monkey wallpaper is hilarious... but... it's kind of clear that the bathroom addition was done on the cheap when you look at it for a minute. I really like this place, amazing cocktails, great food - but the recent remodel of Bodega has not been great for the atmosphere at The Rest. The thumping club music slamming into the speakeasy breaks the immersion and great feel the place used to have.
