Zhu Ting Ji 竹亭记 Reviews
Loved the atmosphere of this place. Very cool being able to see our bao prepared through the window. Had lots of delicious food options for our family, including children. We enjoyed every dish we ordered and it was prepared quickly. The service was just okay- had to ask for utensils. Then had to ask for napkins. Brought our drinks out last. But our kids loved the special plates/bowls they set out for kids. Would definitely go here again.
I ordered the fried crispy pork (8/10), sweet and sour short ribs (9/10), chicken xiao long bao (9/10), pork xiao long bao (9/10), spare rib with potato (8.5/10), and rice (5/10 because none of the meals come with rice and they charge you for rice. Lol.). The servers were very pleasant and kind. It was busy when we went on a Sunday at 7:00pm.
The food is delicious. Very authentic dishes. Not American/chinese. Fun to watch the food being cooked. Everything is hot and fresh. Service is quick and accurate. I wish the soda was fountain and refillable but I still feel it’s a five star experience.
My husband and I have spent time in Taiwan and China and loved finding a place that reminded us of our times spent there. Food always takes you back in time!

Zhu Ting Ji 竹亭记 offers a variety of delicious dishes including soup dumplings, sweet buns, black pepper beef on fire, chow mein, kung pao, dan dan, crispy spicy chicken, and green beans. The restaurant is known for great taste, reasonable prices, and a welcoming atmosphere. With a nice setting, visible kitchen, and plenty of parking, it is a popular spot for those craving authentic Szechuan and Chinese food. Many visitors find it more authentic than typical Chinese restaurants, and appreciate the friendly and helpful staff. The handmade Xiao long bao (pork) and beef chow mein are especially loved, with portions larger and prices lower than some other well-known places. Green beans are a favorite, often enjoyed without red chilis, and spicy cucumber salad is noted for its strong garlic flavor. The menu includes pan fried bao bun, gyoza, and soup dumplings, which are flavorful, though sometimes leak soup when lifted out of the steamer. The restaurant has a bright, open space that makes for a comfortable dining experience.
