This place is legit. The building is a little rundown, and the server(who is also the cook, busser, and owner) may only say 2 words to you. These are all classic indicators that the pho is going to be excellent and in this case it holds true. I've had tons of pho and so far in Utah this is the only place I actually crave to go back to. One of my favorite places to go for years! The Bún bò Huế reminds me of my mom's shortcut recipe. Closest to authentic I can get in Utah. Portion sizes are massive. A couple of reviews pointed out the 'grumpy man' and how run down the place looks. The service really isn't that bad, the man is efficient and does his job well. I have been eating at Pho 99 since 1998, when they had their old location more south of where they are at now. Like all pho places are like a mom and pops shop. I always get the urge for pho and this is the place I love most, they have a variety of food which is just as good. Price is reasonable, he service when busy... please be patient the food is worth the wait.
