OMG this little hole in the wall was amazing. So glad we stopped for lunch. The portions were enough that we had leftovers for dinner.

Edit: 3rd visit, still just as good. We stopped to pick up food to eat once we get home to NC. This place never disappoints.

I have been wanting to try this place since I drove by years ago and had regretted not stopping since—it truly did not disappoint! We tried to the 1/2 chicken and roll, and they kindly allowed me to sub gluten free cornbread for the roll. We also tried the pulled pork sandwich with two sides, and had coleslaw and potato salad. Pulled up to Paulie’s Pig Out and immediately knew this wasn’t going to be some polished, overthought BBQ experience… which is exactly what you want.

This place doesn’t try to impress you. It just smells like smoke from about a mile away and lets the food do the talking. Which, frankly, is a bold strategy that pays off.
