I don't eat out during the week (only home cooked), so a Brew Birds breakfast burrito is usually the go to treat. “Update 4/2/25: Had to drop the rating one star. Recent shows there have not sounded great, not sure what has happened. Very muddled and bass heavy which is not good when they are guitar oriented bands and the guitar is barely audible.
Love this venue! They get a great mix of tribute bands and a decent number of national acts as well. The best thing about the place is the sound system. They have absolutely nailed the sound the majority of the shows I've seen here. The 2024 Living Colour show immediately comes to mind, such a great job on the sound mix! In 20+ shows I've seen here to date only one had bad sound, Geoff Tate. I asked about that one and turns out the band had its own sound people on the boards, so that was on them not the venue.
Parking is a breeze as there is a public garage right behind the theater. Tribute bands generally are in the $15 to $25 range for general admission tickets. Even for national acts I've not yet noticed anything go past $50 per ticket (KK's Priest with Accept was the most I've seen at $49.50). I've been to a sold out show here and they must have good AC as it did not get overly hot inside.
My only quibble is the "pit" area by the stage is slightly sloped, good for sight lines, not so much for standing on.“

I’ve been searching for good uni for months…just hoping for one decent bite, something to remind me that life still has little joys. I thought I was ordering California uni (the price made me do a double take), but when it came out, it was actually from Japan. Real Japan uni. And it was everything I’d been craving.

The staff was friendly and helpful when ordering. You order at the register and then your food is brought to the counter for you to pick it up. There isn’t a wait staff.

There are two entrances to Sarku. I didn’t get photos of the other entrance, but will take photos the next time.

They do play music from a radio station or satellite radio, but it wasn’t too loud for me and I liked the genre they played.“

Staff is also very kind and accommodating. The food is a great, more affordable alternative to the restaurant and not as fancy. I had a turkey and Gruyère sandwich that hit the spot.“
