Having driven by countless times, we decided to try Barnside for breakfast this morning and were pleased. Small and a little noisy, the restaurant conveys the feeling of a roadside diner circa 1960 complete to the music. The food was good and quite imaginative for a small diner, lots of choices fitting various preferences. Prices were reasonable, food was quickly served and overall service was good. Shall return.

Food was okay. If youre 250lbs or over I dont recommend eating in because its all booths and theres not a lot of room between the table and the booth seats. I felt really squished and uncomfortable.

Classic, American diner with a friendly, attentive staff, fast service, large menu and good portions for the price.
I hadn't been here in a long time until I came in for some pancakes and biscuits in gravy at the bar the other day but everything seemed exactly as I remembered (I think steady and predictable is what you want from diners, right?)
