“I love hypergoat! It is my go-to coffee shop near my office. They have consistently delicious coffee, good pastries and I honestly often go there because I crave the warm pao de queso. Friendly staff and relatively quick service. They recently expanded the seating area so it is more spacious and you aren't inconveniencing seated customers while waiting for your order.“

“For the manager. I think that everything is good and tasty, but I did not buy pastries with coffee, because I did not see the description and price. Make beautiful trays with legs and prices with a description for pastries. It is very simple, cheap, and will be much more convenient and beautiful. It is inconvenient to ask, it is hard to hear because of the music, or you can simply not understand, because of bad English.“

“I wish this was my neighborhood coffee. The staff are so lovely. One refilled my personal water bottle for me.
Also the food is delicious, there’s good variety and the seating is comfy. My only complaint is the water faucets were really hot last time I visited but maybe that was a fluke.
Ugh, I may need to move to Columbia Heights so I can visit more often.“

“I’ve been going to this coffee shop since 2012, minus the years they were closed for renovations and COVID. The coffee is excellent. The tea is excellent. The service is excellent. The vibe is excellent in that it’s not trying to be anything other than a coffee shop that’s been around for a long time. 10/10, no notes.“

A local was amazed at her coffee and will be a regular now. The employees were so kind and remembered my order every single day. Best dirty chai I’ve ever had! Quality coffee. Friendly employees. “Instantly became my favorite coffee destination in the DMV! This cafe carries top-shelf single-origin coffees from several roasters, both local and international. Both of the pour-overs that we sampled—namely, a washed Colombian and a honey-processed Hawaiian—were aromatic and perfectly extracted. The batch brew is also excellent.
Coffee aside, the cafe also affords a wonderful ambiance. It’s nestled within a plant store so that one can sip coffee while appreciating the verdant vegetation on offer.“

“This location is very nice. Especially the outdoor seating facing the street. The staff here is excellent, nice and helpful. My chai was pretty good and it's cool that they have a few drinks on draft. I haven't seen that in many coffee shops definitely a neat feature. I didn't try any food so my review is only regarding service and drinks.“

“Cute little spot to go and get some work done. I was confused though about why there are certain tables that are marked as laptop free? What difference does it make lol. Also, the iced chai was really good, but the grilled cheese was the star of the show. I really enjoyed the tomato salsa that it was served with.“

“It’s heating up in the DMV, which means I’m back to my warm weather go-to: Via Volcán’s Iced Flash Brew. It’s the perfect pick-me-up on a hot day—bright, refreshing, and beautifully balanced. That, or the Espresso Tonic, and you really can’t go wrong with either. Both are made with Via Volcán’s caturra bean, brought straight from their family farm in Panama and roasted in-house right here in Old Town. The medium roast is vibrant and fresh, with fruity notes, just the right acidity, and a smooth cocoa finish. This is hands down the best coffee in Old Town. And don’t forget to head upstairs! That’s where the magic happens (you can actually see where the coffee is roasted) and where you’ll find extra seating tucked away above the buzz.“
