Visiting this place brought back some childhood memories because it reminded me of places I used to visit as a kid in my neighborhood where I grew up in DC. The pupusas did not disappoint, I had a revuelta and a carne asada. Both were very good but I was surprised with the carne asada since it was my first time trying it. Also the taco de lengua was very flavorful and tender. The owner and waitress were constantly checking on us and I appreciate the attentiveness.

I recently visited El Pulgarcito Grill and had a really great experience. This spot has that classic cozy, mom-and-pop feel that immediately makes you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in.
The highlight of the meal was definitely the pupusas — they tasted completely homemade, fresh off the grill, and full of flavor. You can tell a lot of care goes into the food, and it really shows in every bite.

Best pupusas in Alexandria / Fairfax! They were kind enough to make me bean pupusas without cheese, which was amazing. Not only are the pupusas so flavorful, they are huge—a great value. Also, the vibes are very relaxed and unpretentious, but it feels homey. I keep going back!
