“The tasty food is one thing BUT one thing which stood out for me is their great customer service. Jane and her other colleague were all smiles, kind and attentive. You can tell they love the job that they do. This is the kind of service you wanna comeback for more. I also appreciate that they're wearing a transparent mouth shield as it looks more neat than a regular mask. They offer free soup and coffee on top of your regular order which is great since it's winter around this time. I hope they can be consistent with their business approach and I wish their new store a success!“

“Very good sushi and skewers. The bartender was super nice and made delicious cocktails. The Zuki moon Pilsner was very good as well. We got the deluxe tuna roll and rib eye skewers. Can’t wait to go back and try other items. Highly recommend!“

“2025 update: family size “palabok noodles”, bucket of fried chicken with gravy, and mango-peach pies we had was so savory and simply delicious!
The fried chicken is so good with or without the gravy. Their peach-mango pies are delicious! The Filipino noodle dish called “palabok” so scrumptious with a squeeze of lemon juice.“

“Visited the café today! Loved the delectable and creative menu, the warm service, and the beautiful, cozy interior. We enjoyed the inasal, tocino, and ube latte (complete with delicate latte art) courtesy of Sun and Stars Coffee. Our kid was thrilled she could enjoy an ube steamer, too-- and didn't want to stir her drink because she found the art (Hiraya's logo in this instance) so beautiful. If you want reimagined, creative, and elevated Filipino cuisine where the flavors simultaneously bring back sensory memories of the comfort food of your childhood, this is the place for you. “A hole in the wall (or hidden gem, if you will) that is very homely and gives you a great diners' feel with the bar seats and 4 people tables. The ladies behind the bar dabbled in everything: seating us, chatting with us, taking our orders, cooking, making drinks, cleaning, serving dessert, and even manned the checkout. The Lumpia was made fresh (took a while to come out) so the skin was crispy, yet light and not soaked in oil. The Lechon (crispy pork belly) was exceptionally crunchy and the sauce added some tanginess that had me coming back for more; paired with the garlic rice, it was a great and filling meal. We also had the pork adobo, which was tangy and savory (makes my mouth water just thinking about it, while writing this review), again paired with garlic rice, the exceptional flavors were elevated. I highly recommend pairing their dishes that come with white rice, to opt for garlic rice. Lastly, we finished off the meal with a halo-halo, which is shaved rice with sweetened condense milk, ube ice cream, and assorted sweet jelly.

Since this is a really small establishment, I highly recommend only visiting with max of 4 people, to not take up too much space and to also ensure that you get hot and fresh food as they can serve it quickly.“

“My recent visit to Sari Filipino Kusina with my son was nothing short of a delightful experience. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere drew us in. The restaurant combines modern decor with touches of Filipino culture, creating a setting that’s both stylish and cozy.

The food is the real highlight. We started with lumpiang shanghai, which was perfectly crisp and packed with flavor, a promising start to our meal. I went for the adobo, which was tender, rich, and savory, while my son chose the sinigang, a soup that had just the right balance of tanginess and warmth. The lechon kawali we shared was incredibly crispy outside, with melt-in-your-mouth tenderness inside—a true treat.

Dessert was a shared halo-halo, and it was fantastic. It’s a layered, colorful mix of flavors and textures that ended the meal on a refreshing note.

“There are quite a bit of great Filipino restaurants in the area. Alot are really good interpretations of elevated filipino cuisine which I like alot. But, when I am in the mood for something similar to homestyle Filipino food that resembles and tastes like what I cook or close to what my mom cooks and don't have the time to cook, I order from Kabayan. The food is fresh and tasty and the staff had always been great. My favorites are the sinigang, lechon kawali, and menudo. For a great filipino meal at a great price, come to Kabayan!!“

“Everytime I come here, I am impressed. The food is authentic and delicious. Anyone at the bar will attest to it. The sound system is perfectly balanced so you can still talk to people while enjoying an event. Upstairs has all the cocktails you need and the deck is beautiful. But the late night kitchen is the cherry on top!
