A rare find n the DMV! Chicago, the World’s Epicenter for Pizza, is my home base… I have struggled mightily to find a pizza on par with my favorite Chicago Pizza joint, Ranalli’s, third generation. They take immense pride in their craft - make their own dough, sauce even sausage. Grandpa and Grams still hang (and instruct) in the vintage Lincoln Park restaurant. This was my first experience with Jiliano's and I would highly recommend them. When ordering the lady was helpful, patient and friendly. I was told it would take 45 minutes to receive our food but got it in 20 minutes. The delivery guy was super friendly and courteous. The food was hot, the presentation and the amount was perfect. For starters, ordering over the phone is a nightmare at this place, two calls and both ended up just hanging up.The food is so bad around here, this place is considered gourmet. The pizza is probably the best part but still, the crust is not that great. Mainly because they use a high moisture type cheese. The cheese is good, the sauce is good... not so much the bread.I like making pizza myself when at home, I know how much hydration to use at a certain temp to get a great crust...read full review
