By far one of my fave bakeries in Alexandria. This is a must when you’re in the area. My fave is the churro cruffin! Only negative is parking is a major challenge! But I think it’s still worth the visit

Tomato soup was by far the worst I've ever had, tasted almost watered down. Ate one spoonful and immediately dumped the rest.Had the avocado BLT and it was very meh for an $18 sandwich, avocado was already brown.Braised short rib sandwich was decent, bread was very greasy and overall it was too sweetLatte and chai were very good.Stick to beverages, food is not worth the price point.

Junction Bakery has certainly made a name for itself with its inventive pastries and inviting atmosphere, and my recent visit was a testament to their creativity and charm. However, while there were some standout moments, a few aspects of the experience left room for improvement. The star of the show was undoubtedly the churro croffin, a clever fusion of a churro and a croissant-muffin hybrid. This innovative pastry was a delight to the senses, with its crispy exterior giving way to a soft, fluffy interior. The cinnamon sugar dusting added just the right amount of sweetness, making each bite a heavenly experience. However, be warned: the churro croffin is quite substantial, and I would recommend splitting it with a companion to fully appreciate its richness without overwhelming your palate.Moving on to the beverages, I opted for a dulce de leche latte, eagerly anticipating a robust and indulgent coffee experience. While the latte was satisfactory, it didn't quite live up to the expectations set by the bakery's reputation. The coffee flavor was somewhat muted, and the dulce de leche notes were not as pronounced as I had hoped. It was a pleasant drink, but it lacked the wow factor I was seeking. The atmosphere at Junction Bakery was fantastic, with a warm and inviting ambiance that encouraged patrons to relax and savor their treats. The decor was charming and well-curated, creating a cozy and comfortable environment. However, the service left something to be desired. The coffee orders were called out randomly by the type of drink, rather than by customer name or a number system. This led to confusion and a bit of a free-for-all, with multiple people grabbing coffees that weren't theirs. I found myself waiting for approximately 20 minutes, standing in anticipation of my order being called. A more organized and efficient system would greatly enhance the overall customer experience.Despite these minor drawbacks, Junction Bakery still manages to impress with its innovative pastries and delightful atmosphere. The churro croffin alone is worth a visit, and the potential for an improved coffee and service experience leaves me hopeful for future visits.Considering the highs and lows of my visit, I would give Junction Bakery a rating of four out of five stars. With a few tweaks to the coffee offerings and a more streamlined ordering system, this bakery could easily become a five-star destination for pastry lovers and coffee enthusiasts alike.

My favourite cafe in Alexandria. It can get packed but if you come midday & late afternoon, it can be very peaceful. I love the atmosphere of this place. The staff are always lovely, very welcoming and friendly. I love that they switch up the coffee menu seasonally and pastries every now and again. The vegetarian selection is great and portions are generous. Would highly recommend to locals and visitors alike!Parking: There’s parking but not loads. I’d recommend public transit or walking over parking.

Look at this avocado. It speaks for itself. I've finally had enough of this place. I'd already quit ordering most of the menu bc of consistent errors, but how hard is it to just give someone a nice looking half of avocado for four bucks?

The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, making it a cozy spot to relax. The coffee offered is of high quality, and several of their pastries stand out for their deliciousness. Particularly noteworthy is the monkey bread, which was exceptionally tasty. We also tried the strawberry and pistachio Cruffin; however, it was a tad too sweet for my taste, primarily due to the sugar coating, which I felt was unnecessary. On the other hand, the mocha flavor is highly recommended and is definitely worth trying.

The food here leaves a lot to be desired. I got the Nova Lox. The addition of everything bagel seasoning on top of the capers made the meal unpalatable and way too salty to enjoy. My partner got a grain bowl that was lacking in flavor and drenched in olive oil. This place is more fit for a coffee and pastry rather than a lunch.

After tax and tip, breakfast for 3 was $89.... at a "take a number and seat yourself" coffee shop/bakery.... my other qualm was that on the website they have an "all day menu" but when we got there we were told they were only serving brunch. So all day menu but only on certain days? Maybe I misread. They forgot to bring our coffees when they said they would run it to us and they forgot our croissant with the food. But everyone that worked there was pretty friendly! And the place was really clean. I got the Cubano. It was okay. I understand why it was $20, I got a half a loaf of french bread with a pound of pork. It was ok. Menu advertised herb ham on it but it was more like a maple ham. Weird. Mom liked her brioche french toast, it was good. The lox on toast was okay. Kinda wish the toast was actually crispy. Its not bad but I have zero desire to return after spending almost $90 for breakfast. I get it this place is new so hopefully they round out some of these kinks. With how expensive it is I expect things to be a bit tighter.

Expensive to eggs over easy hash brown sausage plus orange juice coffee plus avocado toast, $58 didn't notice it until I sat down as I wasn't looking at the cost factor on the menu. Totally overpriced but everything else was fine.

When it gets busy, orders tend to be missed. I ordered a drink, which never arrived. I had to follow up with the barista, who made the coffee.I'm not sure the order ever made it the 2 feet from the cashier to the barista. So, obviously the barista didn't have my order in front of her, so forgot the steamed milk.Everyone gets busy, so I get that. It's how you handle it that sets you apart. 3/5 is appropriate.Service could be more organized.
