I was in Alexandria for a meeting and dropped by Benny’s. I’d heard about the 28 inch pies and curious to give it a try. I ordered a cheese pizza and also a slice of the garlic mushroom. The crust is different, it kinda reminds me of Round Table pizza if you’ve ever had one of those. Pretty good stuff, like it a lot. ???
I’d been to the Benny’s in Richmond before so I was excited to see them open in Del Ray. Big foldable slices with a crispy enough crust so it’s got a good bite to it. Sauce was fresh and bright and not sickly sweet. About the worst I could say is that it needed to be reheated in the oven a little longer, but next time I’ll order it well done.
