This is, overall, my family's favorite ice cream place in Northern Virginia. It's very expensive (almost $10 for a double scoop) but excellent. They also have a large selection of fudge, chocolates, and other items if you're not in the mood for the cold stuff. Being in Old Town Alexandria, parking can be a challenge, especially during the heavy tourist season.
The aroma walking past was amazing so we had to go inside and see what was inside. They had a wide selection of flavors. They offered free samples of try to the wide variety of flavors. The music was nice and pleasing. They custom napkins specific to Kilwins which were cool. The offered three sizes of waffle bowls. Kilwins was amazing!! I have been on the hunt for Superman icecream. It reminds me of my childhood. Its easy to find in the Midwest. Not so much here. When I saw that Kilwins had it, I was so excited. And it wasn't super expensive compared to some of the other ice cream shops in Old Town.
