It's a lovely and quaint restaurant. It was very busy on the holiday (memorial day) that I went, so I'm giving them credit for trying. I was seated quickly (if you don't have a reservation, it may be a little wait for lunch, but you can always sit at the bar which is also full service) and the staff was lovely. The older woman who is the hostess is the star of the show and so personable, but y'all ain't come here to hear about her - let's get into it - THE FOOD!!!

I had the crab dip before, which was amazing. It wasn't a huge portion, but sufficient enough to let a friend try it. But, I decided to go off script and ordered the biscuits and gravy with the chicken. The portion was large, but my food wasn't hot and the pounded and fried chicken breast was dry. So, next I ordered the Reuben with sweet potato fries. THE FRIES WERE HOT AND WELL-SEASONED... GREAT. The sandwich they sent me was burned (looked AND SMELLED BURNT). My server was very sweet and if she had been the one to bring my food, I would have had something negative to say, but she didn't.

Really yummy. If you go in for cocktail hour it's amazing. If you sit outside it's so pleasant. Inside is a little noisy, and the entrees are not as good as I expected after those appetizers, but they're different, really well done, and lovely honestly. Go in for a great 'try this!' ambience in del ray that's totally unexpected and surprisingly delicious.

The food was absolutely amazing! I got the breakfast Sammy and it was so good - fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. The service was also super nice and friendly. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, perfect for a relaxing breakfast. Definitely coming back again.

This was my first time here with my little sisters and I had a great experience. It started off a little rocky with the server we had (can’t remember her name, pero she is also Latina). She was very dismissive and seemed to be in a rush to get away from our table and would be ready to walk away before finishing my sentences. Another thing I didn’t like with her is that she was talking unkindly about her coworkers and other customers to us. We were then switched to Arianna who was an amazing server and came by often to check, ask questions, and even caught my drift about surprising my sisters for their bdays. Overall, I’d recommend this place and will be back.

Make sure ya’ll get the seafood dip boat, crawfish Mac, and passionfruit punch (not the name, but only cocktail with passion fruit, if you’re into that). The other two in the pic are mocktails.

The food was amazing! I had the chicken sandwich with a Cesar salad. It tasted like the real Cesar lol. My friend had the French toast with fried chicken . Both were to die for ! The waitress was from Serbia , she was so sweet and really went out of her way for us.

I frequent Matt & Tony's often over the past 4 years. It's my favorite local restaurant to eat in Alexandria.

The waitress was very polite and attentive. The food was good and drinks were tasty. Overall great experience

I give this restaurant a 10 out of 10. Everything was amazing from the time we walked through the door until the time with left. We'll definitely be back.

Always a wonderful experience at Matt and Tony's. Always greeted walking in. It's the neighborhood cheers. Never have I sent anything back, rather always taken extras home

I really liked the atmosphere, and the food was really artfully prepared. They catered to my one special request for something plainer than what was on the menu. The service staff seemed unflustered by anything and seemed to like working there and their customers.

When you go to a restaurant you should feel good about the meal and the service. That is exactly how Matt and Tony's makes you feel. They are excellent with that special touch on their dishes that leaves you satisfied and happy you came. Well worth a stop by!
