This place is so good!! Food was good and thought it seems a bit pricey, you get a lot of it. The drink we got was amazing (which I think was the Fairly Odd Cosmo - it was green!). The pic I have is awful, but you can see we are enjoying our meal haha. Also, loved the service. Our waitress was so kind. Def will go again.

We are visiting from out of town and this place was highly rated and did not disappoint! A nice trendy interior and superb food. We loved the tomato burrata salad, chicken and biscuits, and yogurt parfait kids bowl, and the stuffed oysters. Everything was well prepared fresh and delicious. The suprise was the sweet potato and ricotta beignets, they sounded off and we were afraid to try them but the waiter kindly recommended them and we gave it a go- they are sooooo amazing, served warm with house made caramel dipping. There was no obvious sweet potato or ricotta they were just an slightly savory cinnamon and sugar flavor. Server Freddy was superb, kind, knowlegable and made for an extra special night out. If we are ever back in Alexandria we will certainly return!!

We co.e to this place often. The food is delicious, and the staff are very friendly. They don't offer espresso drinks but their brewed coffee is good.

Great place overall. 2nd time visiting from OT, great food. I personally didn't care for the scotch eggs but my friend did. I honestly think they can do without the chorizo on the outside and instead did a side of maybe braised/charred pork belly, bacon, or turkey chorizo to contrast a plain fried scotch egg. However, the PANCAKES, cocktails, French toast and avocado toast were delicious. The server the first time was great unfortunately the second time seemed a little overwhelmed since he was preoccupied with other tables. I was patient so no big deal. Even with that being said I'll be back. It's busy on wknds so I totally understand.

The food is great! The service not so much. The hostess was wonderful in accommodating 5 adults, 1 child, and 1 infant especially at the height of brunch on a Sunday. Our table was too small to hold all of us. Our infant had to be hand fed because there wasn’t space for him at the actual table which he was not happy. We felt squished for the table we had to try and accommodate more people in the area. Our server was over worked for her area and definitely could have used a second server for the area as the hostess came by to help. My dad did say his coffee was the best coffee from a breakfast place so kudos. My dad is hard to please. We were also forced charged 20% gratuity for the people we had. I normally understand this, but service was poor and not worth the 20%. I would also understand the gratuity for 7 adults with no issues. I think I am more annoyed at the fact we had a table to not sit 7 but then still be charged such a large gratuity. We also couldn’t split our checks between my husband and I, my parents, and my mother in law. She said it was too busy for it and we could only just split it 3 equal ways.
All in all, definitely make reservations or order to go and not eat at the restaurant. While not ideal to eat to go, it will save you some time and not have to wait if you didn’t make a reservation.

Inside was hot and muggy once you got pass the reception booth with a slippery floor. Seating was a little tight and you could hear everyone's conversation around you since it was so loud. People were shouting to talk to each other in order to hear. Not too long after we were seated we had a server come to us with food that was not ours but for the people beside us. Not to long after that the same server came back and gave a alcoholic beverage to my wife that she didn't order. Our waitress next shows up with the correct drink looking at my wife like where did that drink come from. The shrimp in grits was not it. The shrimp tasted salty and bland not fresh. The crab cakes we ordered tasted good but was battling picking shells out my mouth 90 percent of the time while eating them. Definitely a to go only spot for us. Thankfully AL's Steakhouse is across the street and saved the day. Maybe the cook at Matt & Tony's was just having and off moment on those specific dishes because the seafood dip and Scotch Eggs were delicious. Our waitress was great!!

Came in on a whim and got seated in a fully packed restaurant immediately….told them about my allergies and what I was looking for :) they hooked me up and I left full and happy! As a customer - it’s so hard to find companies that do this and when you do it’s really appreciated!

Stopped in for lunch as first time visitors. Jamoor was our server & he made great recommendations. We had the corn dip appetizer Jamoor suggested off the special menu - amazing, as well as the Chicken & waffles. All 4 dishes were delicious. We Highly recommend!

Matt and Tony’s is hands down the best brunch spot in Alexandria. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, especially the biscuits and gravy, chicken and waffles, and cornflake crusted French toast.
Portions are generous, prices are reasonable for the area, and the atmosphere is welcoming without being chaotic.
Be sure to make a reservation because it gets busy quickly. We will definitely be back.
