This place has the kind of anti-corporate, old fashioned, bare-basics family business vibe that has sadly almost disappeared from Old Town. If you just want a solid handmade sandwich with no marketing or pretentiousness or trendiness, this is it. A lot of us locals frequent Uptowner for that reason. Try it! :)
I really enjoy this little place. The sandwiches are simple, fresh, and delicious. The coffee is good and it feels like a cozy living room.
