The Hunts own the Cafe and personally greeted us, and quickly served us coffee for our break. My husband enjoyed warm apple pie a la mode. I enjoyed warm lemon pound cake with delicious frosting. Thank you for a delightful visit ?
We stopped in at the Dogwood Cafe for a late lunch while traveling home on US 29. It's a local place in a shopping mall serving very good local fare. When we arrived we noticed a tastefully decorated dining room and were seated promptly. They have some lunch specials and a full menu. You'll find something you like. We ordered off the lunch menu. Nestled into a strip mall near the Food Lion in tiny Amherst. Dogwood has great lunch specials, which I came to crave while staying locally. One star off for putting prosit housing Christian stuff on the back of the menu. Restaurants should be secular in my opinion. That said, an excellent lunch spot in Amherst.
