12/3/22 Okay, from the Giant Foods parking lot I saw their restaurant. Decided to try them out. I went with a boneless 12 piece of chicken wings soy garlic. My wife wanted the Kimchi. The cashier/order taker seemed friendly enough. She has since disappeared and a guy has taken her place. The apparently has been around here for some time. Was driving by the Annandale area while running some errands and decided to stop by Bonchon for dinner. We took advantage of the $22 anniversary wings special where you can get 20 wings for $22 (normally $28). These were nice size pieces. The soy garlic sauce and crunch was on point. We got the wings for takeout and they were still hot and fresh by the time we ate them.
Yeah, the Old Pickett Road location is sorely missed. I haven't had big problems with the food, but they forgot to put the pickled turnip in our latest carryout order. And there was a bathroom odor in the restaurant while I waited for it. It's a little hard to imagine driving all the way in to Pershing Dr. in Arlington or out to Kamp Washington in Fairfax, but if I might have to consider it.
