Café V was a favorite for a while and stopped going for about a year after the owner was rude to me.

During a recent visit in 2025, discovered that the café had drastically changed and it served chicken. The coffee menu had been scaled back. The hot chocolate was instant and overpriced. The espresso was still good but was lukewarm.

The new concept was confusing. Was Café V a chicken restaurant that served coffee or a coffee house that served chicken? Seemed like it has an identity crisis.

Excellent coffee drinks - the right balance of flavor and actual coffee taste, not too sweet or artificial tasting. Grab a pastry to go along with your drink; you won’t be disappointed. Staff is also very friendly.

My kid wanted to order some lunch. She saw the Korean rice cake on the menu, but she wasn’t sure whether it’s spicy or not, so she asked the staff. The lady recommended one to her although there are two “fire” sign next to the item indicating it’s pretty spicy. I told the staff that my kid couldn’t handle anything spicy. The lady kept saying it won’t feel spicy at all and rushed my kid to order the one she recommended. She kept saying to my kid that “you will like it”. Well, my kid didn’t eat any of it because it is spicy! Very rude customer service.

Love Cafe V. Every time I am in the area I stop for breakfast or lunch. The food is fresh and ful of flavor. I normally get my orders to go, but the dining area is always clean and plenty of seating for all group sizes.

Stopped here for a quick breakfast. The sausage, egg and cheese on croissant was wonderful. It had a slightly spicy sauce on it and I really liked that it had spinach. The staff was super friendly as well. Will be going back.

I had coffee here in the morning — a Flavored large sized iced Latte is over $8.00. It is too expensive. Was there anything special to justify the price? Not really. Honestly, this place feels a bit overpriced.

You know those neighborhood cafés that feel like a secret only the locals know? That’s Cafe V — Annandale’s cozy, quirky hideaway where artful drinks, dreamy pastries, and community vibe come together under one high-ceilinged roof.
With its mismatched charm, plush toy décor, and vintage 80s energy, Cafe V doesn’t try to be trendy. It’s something better — memorable. Whether you’re popping in for a pistachio latte or pulling out your laptop to work beside wall art and cheese foam cold brew, you’ll find comfort with a creative twist.

Cafe V’s offerings aren’t just drinks — they’re little moments of joy. Customers rave about the tiramisu iced latte, pink blossom latte, and cheese foam cold brew, all customizable with syrups and style. Need something more traditional? Try their London Fog or richly brewed house coffee — praised for its bold, full-bodied finish.
“The tiramisu latte lived up to the name.”
“One of the best pistachio lattes I’ve had in NOVA.”
“Their cherry blossom latte? Sweet, layered, and so cute.”
And the scones? A whole personality. Flavors like peach, matcha, and pistachio pop off the plate — not too sweet, perfectly crumbly, and baked fresh every day. It’s no exaggeration: these are scones people take home by the box.

🥐 Brunch Goals & Cozy Bites
Pair your latte with a V Morning Wrap or Egg & Cheese Croissant for a light, satisfying breakfast. Looking for something gluten-free? The banana bread comes with a heart-shaped squeeze bubble that lets you control the moistness (yes, really — this place is that delightful).
“The peach scone was the best I’ve ever had.”
“The scones alone are worth the visit. We took some home!”

🎨 Space, Style & Chill Ambiance
Inside, Cafe V feels like stepping into an artsy time capsule — retro graphics, plush toys, dark wood, and soft lighting. Locals gather for morning coffee, students type away over tea, and regulars greet staff by name.
“It seems like a place where people meet up and hang out.”
“Very cute, lots of space, and enough parking.”
While you wait for their March 10 reopening, mark your calendars — and come early if you want first pick of the scones. 🍑
After you’ve fueled up on banana bread and espresso, keep the feel-good energy going with a smooth THC wind-down from PullUpDC. Whether you’re chilling with friends or crafting your next big idea, PullUpDC delivers that next-level creative calm—right to your door.

Cafe V is more than a coffee shop — it’s a neighborhood vibe. Come for the drinks, stay for the scones, and return for the feeling that you’ve found your favorite little corner of Annandale.
Pull up. Sip slow. Feel good.

Cozy spot with both full service coffee and espresso menu as well as Korean food starting at 11am. Will definitely come back when in the area!

Their matcha latte is bad quality and $7. Just go to Tour Les Jours across the street.
