Enjoyed my overall experience here. The soup was flavorful and the portions were huge. The kimchi was a highlight. The sullungtang was rich - I had the combination one and the tendon was out of this world tender. I added a bit more salt and pepper on the table and some kimchi juice. Yukjaejang was even better - packed with veggies and meat and the spice level was perfect. Quite busy on a Saturday early afternoon. Parking is bit tight in the front but more spots are available in the back. I would not recommend parking in the fire lane on the side, but a lot of people did anyways. Excited to go again and try other items.

Their galbitang is expensive but it's humongous. It's delicious with big servings of galbi, soup, and kimchi. Their fried dumplings are also big and delicious as well.

Missed having really good sulung tang since leaving LA and this place solved that problem. The soup is so soothing and the kimchee and kakduki (radish) are perfect.

We went there for the haejang-guk and seollang-tang. Both were excellent. The haejang-guk could have had more organ meat, though.

For the kind of cuisine this restaurant serves, Shin-Chon is meeting and exceeding all my expectations except parking lot. Parking is somewhat limited, but is available both in front and at back, so it is not a serious problem. The food is really good, and service has been improving. For the kind of food intended for casual consumption, the atmosphere and service are fully adequate.

The seolleongtang here is delicious. And the server is very friendly. However, seolleongtang is too expensive. $15.99. It's so delicious that if you order an extra bowl of rice, it's $19 including tax. Indeed, ‘Imunseolnongtang’, which is said to be the oldest in Korea, costs 13,000 won. Before coming to the United States, I heard a lot of people say that meat is cheap in the United States. I guess not anymore. Even though it is delicious to eat seolleongtang for $16 = 21,370 won before tax, I feel guilty as a common American. (After Corona, everything went up! I’m sick of saying this. Everything went up except our salary) Is this a hotel seolleongtang?

I just picked up my order of 4 galbi tangs. In one of them, we found a fly.

Soups are so good and tasty, and thumbs up to the Korean traditional Galbi Jjim(Steamed Beef Ribs in sauce); it's a bit pricey but well worth it. So fortunate to have this restaurant finally opened in Annandale.Parking: There are limited parking lot in front but there are plenty more on the side.

Service was great. Ambiance was just very casual. The food was so so-- the seollungtang did not have much flavor and was just too milky.

A Korean friend recommended that our group of four come here to experience authentic Korean food. Top of the list was Sullengang, their not-to-be-missed beef bone broth ($15.99). The Soo Yuk beef platter ($25.99), which was accompanied by vegetables, wasn't at all spicy. The Seafood Pancake ($21.99) and Fried Pork Dumplings ($8.99) completed our meal. Great service and a wonderful meal.

A hidden gem. Big chunks of short ribs in Galbi-tang (a beef short rib soup). Very friendly staff. You know it is good and authentic because all customers are Korean.
