A delightful dining experience. The little ones really enjoyed the pizza and drinks from the kids menu - an unexpected plus. The waitstaff could be a bit more educated on use of small cups for toddlers, instead of bringing them a full size glass cup and placing it close to the edge of the table... Food was tasty, but most of our dishes were higher in spice that expected - perhaps this can be noted on the menu a bit better?

I came here with a group from work for dinner. The acoustics are horrible. It was difficult to carry on a conversation, and even our server was struggling to hear us when we placed out orders. We started out ordering drinks and apps. The apps came out before the drinks. I had the Brussels sprouts, and they were pretty good, though a tad undercooked. For dinner I had the chicken sausage pizza. It was nothing special, with not much chicken sausage in sight. My husband had the chicken avocado wrap, and he enjoyed it. Our server began clearing the table of empty plates, then just stopped, leaving many dirty dishes still sitting there. Seemed kind of odd. Overall I don’t understand all of the hype about this place. I’ve been here once, and I feel no need to return. There are many better restaurants around to choose from.

We were visiting Washington DC and took Metro to the mall. True Food Kitchen was not our first choice but we decided to give it a try. I had the Pizza and I must say it was tasty for pizza without cheese. It's not the first pizza I have ever had without cheese but it was great. The service was very good. We were meeting old friends there and it not loud.

Very nice little neighborhood bar with a decent beer selection (although a bit pricey). The bartender was friendly. This is a nice place to grab a beer or two while trying food from nearby eateries. I also find it very cute and creative how they made this pub to look as though it is some kind of a temporary plywood stand… but the wood is finished in a way that makes it stronger than if it were just plywood. Not to mention that the Christmas lights they put up add to the charm. There are also a few flatscreen TV’s behind the bar for people who like watching sports.

After trying True Food for lunch a few times, we decided to give it a shot for dinner. The entrees were solid, especially the burger. The sides were a bit off. The sweet potato chunks were very average, and I think that they are going overboard on the kale. Nice folks here but everything seemed just a little too relaxed.

Uninspired food, food tastes really bad. The chicken looks manufactured. They seem to be riding the wave of ethical foods. But the food tastes horrible. Got lectured about their inhouse lemonade before we placed an order

"We believe food can be healthy AND taste good," said our server, as if no one else had ever figured out how to make healthy food taste good. The food WAS healthy, and it DID taste good; we just could have done without the pretentiousness--and fairly substantial prices for the quantity of food per dish. The ingredients were fresh, and the menu caters to carnivores and herbivores alike. Whether you love gluten or can't stand it, whether you want your cow grass-fed or read bedtime stories before you eat it, you'll probably find something here to eat. The only thing you won't find? Unhealthy food that doesn't taste good. True Food isn't novel in the way it procures and prepares food; the servers just want you to think it is. However, it is tasty, and there are options for many different types of eater. Also, the outdoor seating in the summer is nice.

Great spot to grab a beer, cider, Prosecco, or hard seltzer on draft. They don't serve cocktails, but some of the other eateries do. As it wasn't busy on a Sunday afternoon, one of the staff members patiently let me sample the East Ciders pineapple cider, Mia Fortuna Prosecco, and Truly berry hard seltzer. He made it clear though that more than a sample or 2 are typically not welcomed. Glad he was able to make an exception! The Truly berry hard seltzer was hands-down the best and quite refreshing! As the selection frequently changes, I'll be back to try the newest cider or hard seltzer!

This place always has a very unique beer selection and the modern beer tap is pretty cool. The drafts always taste cold and fresh. We love coming here to get a few pints and try the different eateries in Ballston Quarter.

Went in for a late lunch. Great healthy food choices. Some of the best iced tea I have ever had.... Had the eggplant pizza ( i do not like eggplant) it was fantastic. Will go there again if we get back up there.

Ballston Service Station offers craft beers that you did not know you needed. The cherry on top is the bartender that might as well be a beer sommelier. Apologies for forgetting not catching his name! This place is perfect to find a beer that pairs well with one of the food establishments. It's also convenient to sneak a beer at lunch during work hours or hang out with some friends in a socially distanced setting.

We arrived for dinner and we were lucky to get a table outside. Service was nice and we ordered wine with our dinner. My friend had the salad and it looked really good and I got the lasagne. The food was good but....for the price, there was not a lot to eat.

My wife summed up here spaghetti squash- "Trader Joe's is better and is $3.99". My daughter's response to her salmon was "this is plain- it needs lemon". There are far too many other restaurants with better food at more reasonable price points- I'm surprised this place has survived.
