Breakfast sandwiches are terrible. However, the parties are god ans the coffee is very good. They only have a few tables for seating, but it's mostly to just grab a coffee and go.
Stopped into Compass Coffee and really enjoyed it. The staff was genuinely friendly and made it feel easy and welcoming from the start. I tried the turmeric and honey drink and it was so good—warm, smooth, and just a little different in the best way.
The location is great in Rosslyn and it has a relaxed vibe that works whether you’re catching up with someone or meeting for a casual date. I’d definitely go back.

I’ve so tried to give Compass a chance but the bottom line is the coffee itself just isn’t very good. Over roasted so nothing smooth; just overly bitter. Food is fine. Good location, though, which is why I keep going back. Any other good Ballston options for top quality roast (For Five in Courthouse is too far but excellent)?
