We came here for brunch on St. Patrick's Day as it provided a convenient place to meet everyone in our party coming from different directions. I would say that the food and the service was underwhelming. The kitchen does not accommodate special requests even when they say they do. For example, I ordered the Chorizo which the menu said you could have the eggs cooked your way, which in reality meant only served sunny-side up. Other people in my party had similar experiences. I will not be back.

I had a disappointing experience at El Ray VA recently. Despite being the only guest at the bar, the bartender's ( Hispanic guy with grey sweater ) demeanor was unwelcoming and rude. He Slammed my drink on the bar, didn’t offer nachos nor ask if we wanted food. Again, we were his only guest at the bar and place was not busy. He had a very mean/irritated facial expression and looked pissed. Although it's possible he was having a bad day, his lack of greeting and dismissive attitude made it difficult to enjoy the beautiful day in Arlington, VA. I informed the manager about the situation, but their response was somewhat nonchalant. After the slamming of the drink, that was the last straw and we left. He had very negative energy. Sadly, I won't be returning to El Ray VA. Life is too short to tolerate such negative energy.

Came here for brunch, but ended up getting the quac and chips with the Baja fish and DC taco. Both were a 10/10. Would definitely come back to try other tacos!

Place is decent. Good service and good, but nothing too extravagant about it. Pretty standard Mexican place. Imagine an Outback- just make it Hispanic. The guac is solid. And the quesadillas were really good. Doesn't hurt to stop by, but doesn't hurt to miss.

I thought this place was super cute. I love the vibe inside. I'm always excited to try a new taco spot. My server was pretty attentive and the food was alright. I wouldn't say it was anything special. I will go again, give them another try.

It was my 1st time & amazing! IDK if it was because it was Cinco de Mayo or what... but I'll be going back. Daniel, & Maddie (bartenders) & Leah (a girl at the bar ) were ALL everything you expect for service/fun at a bar. The chips & salsa, fish tacos & shrimp tacos & of course the margaritas were AWESOME SAUCE!

Anything birria will be the best! Fresh quac and queso are good too. Mocktail options.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu has a good variety. Chicken tenders are a favorite.

Having lived in ABQ a long time I know what a good taqueria can offer. The flavor profile of the tacos and drinks here is spot on.

Solid Mexican, nothing to write home about. A bit over salted. I would likely only come back for the drinks.

We came at a very slow time (11:30 AM) during Sunday brunch so it wasn't very busy - the service was great & we were seated immediately! The food was absolutely fantastic. It came out pretty quickly & everyone enjoyed their meals. Definitely would recommend coming for weekend brunch on Sat/Sun!

Mexican food in the DMV continues to be offensive. We got the nachos... they were terrible. Still trying to figure out how someone comes up with a menu with nachos that have don't have any pico, sour crème, or guac but that have bright yellow cheese and watery beans that will inevitably make the paper soggy and rip into your food.

All around good place. It consistently delivers and is great for casual dining. The atmosphere is perfect for family meals or a night out with friends. I highly recommend the burritos, which are a delightful blend of flavors and are generously portioned.
