House of Mandy has closed. Has been replaced by the King of Koshary, an Egyptian restaurant. We joined them for their Iftar dinner two nights ago and enjoyed both the food and the friendliness of the staff.
The food here at House Of Mandi was exceptional! This is the absolutely best place if you want to experience the fine taste and great flavor of authentic yemeni cuisine. I ordered the foul, which are basically fava beans topped off with olive oil, I also got the chapati which is a special bread made with extra butter, and last but not least I also got the karak with milk, which is hands down the absolutely best tea I have ever tried in my life. The food was good and the price was reasonable. The only surprise was that they added the 18% tip in the final bill themselves. 18% tip was probably ok but adding without asking and charging it was not ok
