“This was probably the only place with endless vegan options in DC as far as desserts goes. It was blissfully overwhelming. I asked the SA for what the popular options were. She told me that for cakes the Vietnamese coffee cake, cookies: the Brooke, the chocolate oat cookie, and snickerdoodle and the cupcakes in general. I was eyeing the cake and decided to purchase the first two cookies as well. I sampled some of the Vietnamese iced coffee which was good, but on the sweet side for having with the cake. I ordered an almond milk cappuccino which was fantastic. The cake was alright, the texture was good, a lot vegan cakes tend to be dense but it was like an ordinary cake. The frosting was on the light side. The cake didn't have any distinct taste of spices that I was looking for as Vietnamese coffee and tea tends to have. It was just sweet. I'm hoping the cookies are more promising.“
“My husband and I stopped in while walking around Georgetown. The barista was super kind and made a great Latte! She recommended some great flavors and the atmosphere was so cute! There were decorations for the cherry blossoms and the shop looked so cute. The cherry blossom macarons are hand painted and you can see the detail and dedication. We definitely recommend this little spot for a latte and some treats! They even have macarons for Doggos too!“
“We tried the bistro part for the first time for a quick early dinner on a Sunday evening. They have a small patio upstairs which we enjoyed (but had to move indoors due to mosquitoes!). It was quiet and the service was good.Onion soup was delicious! We also ordered two caesar salads (salmon and chicken), which were very big portions and delicious as well.We paid 10$ for soup, 22$ for salmon caesar salad and, 17$ for chicken caesar salad.I’d like to try the bakery part soon.Overall, it was a solid 4-4,5 star. I recommend this business.“
“My favorite part about visiting Tyson’s, is stopping to get some macarons! The service is always great, the macarons are great quality! My favorite are the chocolate ones! But this time I had to switch it up and surprisingly, the rose flavored ones were magnificent! Oh and the pistachio and blueberry cheesecake *chef’s kiss*. They also have such cute packaging, great for gifting for any occasions. So they next time you find yourself in the area I recommend you stop by and try them!“
“Been seeing the "coming soon" signs at this place all last year and had a chance to try last night, as me and my wife didn't feel like cooking and it was a Friday night! The Three empanadas, drink and a 1 sauce is decently priced at $16 for a filling meal. Parking is limited and there are no tables for groups. You're better off ordering for pickup. My favorite is the Spicy Pork empanada filled with pork, black beans and corn. For reference, the spice level of the Spicy Pork and their "Mild" sauce is about that of Taco Bell "Fire" sauce. At 6PM, a lot of their menu items were sold out or otherwise not available. Looks like this place is better at lunchtime. Since it's hard to get parking, I would either park at the garage across the street and walk 4 minutes, or order for pickup or to delivery. Unfortunately, there would not be enough seating to bring work colleagues here. Better to organize an empanada party at the office. VIDEO“
