The food in this restaurant is very good. The special thing is that in the month of Ramadan, Iftar is given on the occasion of Iftar, which is worthy of praise.

You absolutely must order the Tandoori Naan. It is phenomenal. Best and freshest naan I have had in a long long long time. They make it fresh to order in a legit tandoori oven. I’m so impressed. We came here because we had a bike flat tire and stopped at the trek store next door. What a gem. Had Seekh chicken Kabab wrap (fresh naan, so warm and chick n kebab with an awesome spice mix. Fresh veggies and some sort of yogurt sauce) and then the goat curry for $18 includes naan and blew us out of the water. So yummy. If I’m back in the neighborhood I will return but be warned you have to wait for your naan since it’s made to order so be prepared to wait!Be prepared for a hole in the wall but the clerk was very nice.

During Ramadan time, if you are looking for late night food- this can be your place. It was Friday night and we reached at this place around 12 midnight. The place was not much crowded, however busy with the take out ordered. We started with Shammi kabab- which was mediocre. Then we got chicken chapli kabab and chicken karahi. Chapli kabab comes as a combo plate ( with rice and chhole). The chapli kabab was quite big in size and a bit oily, imo. And the oil was old and burnt it seems! The rice and chhole in the combo plate was not that good. The highlight was the chicken karahi. It was served in a real Karahi/ wok. The amount was humongous. It can feed at least four people, I guess. It came with freshly baked, piping hot, and fluffy tandoori roti ( topped with some butter). We love the chicken with bones, so ordered accordingly. It was moderately spicy and cooked to perfection; topped with cilantro, jalapeño and ginger juliennes. Overall, it was very filling. The dine in may not be very good experience here, as the service is super slow, and the floors were sticky! I think taking out would be the best option to enjoy the food. Overall, very economic and pocket friendly.

The sweet lassi, yesterday, was a bit like a slush, but had a good flavor. Goat curry was really rich, and had a really good spice profile. A little bit on the oiler side.I honestly liked the rice with the goat curry more than I did on the mutton biryani, which I was a bit disappointed by. The biryani did not have the biryani spice to make it biryani, and the goat pieces were a bit tough. I also had shami kabab, which was pretty good. The guy who took our order was pretty nice, and offered recommendations for drinks.I do plan on returning, but not for the biryani, which could be improved by adding the biryani spice and chilis for a bit of a kick. Maybe, also putting a little bit of broth would have helped to give it a fluff. Maybe I'm biased since my mom makes biryani at home, but unfortunately, I wasn't as impressed with their mutton biryani.

We tried this place for dinner one night and ordered the vegetable samosas, butter chicken, and naan. The samosas are HUGE! And the butter chicken serving size is plentiful for the cost ($15). We ordered over the phone for takeout and the service was quick. The inside has some seating but is more of a takeout place. Everything was solid, but not our most favorite butter chicken we’ve had.

Kid-friendliness: Because my daughter is unfamiliarwith the spice, we ordered mango ice cream at the beginning so she could eat that between bites of new flavors. She tried everything we ordered! Fun experience for all of us. Great flavors.

One of my favorite restaurants in Arlington! They have authentic and tasty food along with big portion sizes which you can save for the next day (especially the biryani). To top this off, Mehran has great prices, and excellent service. They were really nice and served us complimentary gulab jamun at the end of our meal. The taste of the food is so much more authentic and better than Spice Kraft (an Indian restaurant in the area). Will definitely be back for more!
