I chose Sushi Rock out of all the great Japanese joints in Arlington to celebrate a very, very special birthday with the expectation of a casual dining experience with good service. The restaurant did not seem busy but it appeared like there was only one server working, therefore wait times for apps and beverages especially seemed excessive. honestly I liked it a lot. The place is pretty chill, feels good to sit down and eat.
The sushi was on point — fresh, good portions, and it actually tastes like real sushi, not just a bunch of sauce. I tried a few different rolls and everything came out good. Food didn’t take long either.
