I live close by and was craving for a good burger for dinner. I decided to try out ted’s because I never tried bison meat before. It was spectacular especially the service because I was not wearing the best clothes since it was a last minute decision and the restaurant was about to close. I was expecting a not-so good service because of it but Fred was amazing. He told us about the history of the menu and I came back the next day.

My server, Alan, was very attentive and helpful. My chicken sandwich tasted great, nice portion and delivered promptly. Some of the servers walking in were not as nice as Alan. Ask for him if you stop in.

Just a fantastic experience with the food and service. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious and came out quick. It is on the expensive side but it is hard to argue with the result. I could have licked my plate at the end and didn't realize that I just ate a 14 oz steak that quickly.

Funny. 5 days ago I gave a 1-star review because after 30 minutes my order was never taken so I left. Management emailed me the next day and asked to make it up. I responded within a few hours. 4 days later and I haven’t heard a word.NO SERVICE ! It’s bad enough to have try to find parking (yes, there’s a garage 2 blocks away) but after getting seated everything went straight down hill, and fast. The waitress took 5 minutes to ask what we wanted to drink, brought the drinks 2 minutes later, and never came back. After waiting 20 minutes and not getting an order in, we left. No service, no food. Setting is nice enough but you need food to enjoy it. Completely disappointed! I won’t go back.

Wonderful spot on Crystal Drive within walking distance of the metro and bus transfer station. Friendly staff, excellent bison and steak options, specials, and comforting side dishes.
We had eaten at a Ted Montanas when living in Colorado. While we were visiting our son again in Washington DC we decided to eat there. Definitely need reservations even during the week at night. Crowded. Busy. Packed. Also if you want a booth include that in your "special" requests in reservation. Service was good, food and drinks good options. My wife had a bison burger good size and delicious. I had the bison bacon cheese hamburger and my son also. Cooked exactly the way you want. Also delicious. No parking. Close to Crystal City Metro stop. Only negative is very noisy due to restaurant being packed.
