I visited the Maryland and DC location a few years back and they were some of the best seafood I’ve had. We decided to try this location on our way through the DMV. This location and time both of our meals were bland. My mom ordered the lobster roll and it was small and didn’t have much seasoning. I ordered the cod and was disappointed in the seasoning as well.
I’ve been here several time while traveling for business but this time just fell flat - mostly because of our server. He seemed almost annoyed to be waiting on us and left us very disappointed in our dinner.
My husband and I live in Ballston and have been coming to Salt Line about once a month since 2022. We have been consistently impressed by the reliably good food and service so it's become our go-to place. Some classics that we pretty much always get are the crab and cheese dip, spicy shrimp roll, and oysters (obviously!). Also, I know people may not initially think to order a smashburger at a New England style restaurant, but I think their burger is probably the best in Arlington...
