Smoked wings so tender they felt like they’d just left the hog pen—crispy skin, juicy interior, absolute perfection. Burnt ends? “We are from Buffalo NY down here on vacation. The host was absolutely amazing we sat at a high top by the bar and he came over and offered to move us to a bigger table so we had more room!! The bartender was our server and he was so attentive and on top of everything. They had a large school party that had about 50 people in it and they did not let that slow them down at all. At the end of that party we ended up speaking with one of the owners and he was so nice! We ended up finding out the host had family from where we are from and that was awesome! The food was amazing, portions were huge! Moral of the story the whole staff was amazing the food came out with perfect timing even with the huge party. Pricing, food, friendliness all worth it here they were amazing“

“The Haymaker is a great cocktail bar and has some of the best and hardest working bartenders in DC. When we arrived, the bar counter seats were almost full. Three cocktails in and the whole place was packed with 90/95% having cocktails, our refills still came quickly. Why only 4 star? They have changed the food menu and not for the better. The dumplings are still great. We also had the quesadilla. My wife liked it, I thought it was generic. We both thought the loaded tots were a major fail, the 'load', what little there was of it, had all fallen off and was in the bottom of the bowl. The draft beer choice is also weak, with Goose Island being their premium beer. I hope they change up their menu for the better.“

“This by far as been the best food I've tasted with soul and flavor. The portions and cost are within anyone's reach but the flavor is top notch. Will absolutely recommend and visit again!“

“Dining here was a mixed bag. First, I expected more fusion. It's not really a fusion restaurant. You can order tex-mex OR you can order Korean but the only real fusion on the menu is two taco choices or one meal.

I went with the tacos. They were fairly bland. Nothing made me overly excited to have ordered them.

Now what I loved was the ambient temperature. I HATE how no matter how hot it is outside I have to carry a jacket with me because it's always freezing cold inside in America. That wasn't the case here. I had my jacket with me but I never needed it. It was a nice comfortable temperature inside.

The restroom was clean.

The interior design is 100% Dia de los Muertos, no Korean fusion in the art but it was still cool.

The bar looked well stocked. I bet it's a fun place to have a drink with friends.

“I think was the perfect choice for us newbies. We were seeking to try many different types of whiskeys and this was the place. Sergei (hope that’s correct) was more than accommodating and explained the flights to us along with the type of whiskey. He also gave recommendations. He was very busy with other customers as we believe it was just him and chef at opening. It was quiet since we went before happy hour. The food was good! We are definitely coming back to try a third or fourth flight or whiskey. The Whiskey 201 flights has a Japanese Whiskey 🥃 that is 😍“

“I’m From out of town and was looking for a nice spot without any issues or problems with a nice atmosphere and vibe. I walked around and came across this spot.

The bar was clean, the Dj was playing some good music, the bar tender was very nice and we had some good conversations about his past job and how he started bar tending. He also made me a damn good old fashioned and …… hey, what more can you ask for. Thanks, I will be back and will have to bring the wife to try the drinks.

“This was a 10 out of 10. We were in for Thanksgiving dinner. We had the turkey entrée. And the braised beef. Which was cut with a fork tender. Everything was beautifully seasoned and tasty. And very generous plates. Plenty to take home for after Thanksgiving leftovers.  This was my first time ever having Thanksgiving in a restaurant. I have to say this was a home run. This could be my new go to........ Ps Staff was GREAT also..... All around great experience......“
