“I've been coming here for years and forgot to leave a stellar review! This place is in our top five most visited spots! People and food are always a pleasure! Best Gyro Sandwich in Short Pump or the West End! But the platters are what keeps us coming back! Such simplicity and flavor! It can get busy any day of the week because it's just that good!“

“Not only was the service and food great, (especially in todays climate) I want to give a hats off to the owner/manager who was working and serving the customers during a busy lunch time. In the few minutes that I was there placing my order, I noticed that not only did she have to deal with a customer who attempted to put his hand over the glass to show her what he wanted. (Thank God she stopped him in time). She also had to deal with a greedy rude customer who wanted more than his share and actually threatened to not come back there again! LOL She handled it well and I don't see how she does it. I've been to this location several times over the years and I just want to commend her for her customer service. Sure the portion sizes might be a little bit smaller but its not nearly as noticeable as other places and the food and service is still great and still worth it!!“

“I ordered the lamb chop meal and it definitely hit the spot! The lamb chops were seasoned very well, tender, and cooked to perfection, served over a nice bed of jasmine rice. The meal also came with fresh mixed veggies, hummus, and pita, which brought everything together. Great portion size, fresh food, and plenty of flavor. I really enjoyed my meal and will definitely be back whenever I’m in Ashland. Highly recommend Dubai Shawarma & Cafe!“
