“Really good Vietnamese food. I always start with a grilled pork rice paper roll and peanut sauce. #12 soup is always a winner. #29 bowl is my other go to meal. Hit either one with some hoisin sauce, fish sauce and a little Sriracha sauce and you are good to go.
Service can be a little random during busy times. Sometimes appetizers or meals for a group will not come out at the same time. But the servers are very responsive and helpful.
All I know is I can't duplicate this flavor profile at home in my kitchen. So here I am back at Pho So 1. Definitely a favorite Richmond lunch or dinner spot. Oddly, they are closed on Tuesdays, so don't try to go on Tuesdays. 😆“

“I have dined at other Phô stands in RVA, but none has the colorful setting or genuinely excited staff like this place. Both the phô and Bahm Mi were fresh and wonderful. The ambience and food together combined to make this an experience - more than just a bowl of noodles. Highest recommendation.“

“My husband and I have been long time patrons of this particular place. We always get the Pho soup and it is to die for! It’s always tasty and hot and the staff always takes such good care of us :) We can honestly say we have never had a bad meal here in the almost 3 years we’ve been going. The consistency is what keeps us coming and this place is easily my number one favorite place to eat. You must try the grilled BBQ pork spring rolls with peanut dipping sauce, oh my gosh it is heaven in one bite!“

“Having been to this stylish and comfortable authentic Vietnamese restaurant, not once, not twice but a good few times. I have nothing but good praise for the restuarant.
The staff is friendly, and the service has always been outstanding. This makes one feel very relaxed and comfortable which lends itself to a great experience and the chance to enjoy outstandingly superb Vietnamese dishes and food. From breakfast,brunch,lunch and dinner. Always Excellent.
That's why I keep coming back, for good food and great pleasure of dining comfortably.
