I couldn’t imagine going here to have a good time when one of your wine makers is celebrating the senseless murder of somebody on the Internet. This guy needs to be fired.

Stayed here in 2015, still pissing me off Stayed at one of the cottages. Must have had a staff shortage Trash from last guests still in the room and the complimentary breakfast in frig soured milk and stale food. Restaurant has same complaints then and now I see either was closed or when open over priced, wine is mediocre at best . The ruins should be their mascot , something that looks like it’s great but that’s all there is with this place. Do a drive by and move on down...read full review
We very much enjoyed our long weekend at the winery. We stayed at the Pinot Grigio cottage and eat at the Palladio restaurant and the Library. The staff were very attentive, the service was great, and food and wine were delicious. The grounds are very picturesque with the views of the Appalachian mountains in the distance. It’s a great place and we cannot wait to visit again. Pierre and Irene

Barboursville Vineyards is a professional and hospitable winery known for its delicious wines and great food. They offer charcuterie and cheese boards, and their library cafe serves excellent food. The staff is attentive, funny, and knowledgeable about events, keeping customers informed. The vineyard, with its beautiful building and scenic views, is a hidden gem well-known locally, offering a selection of great wines at reasonable prices. Guests have praised the Nascent white blend and the signature red blend, as well as delicious food options like scallops and bison at the Palladio. The wine maker, Luka, takes the time to speak with customers, sharing his story. While it can get crowded, there is plenty of parking and seating available. The setting is always stunning, with well-paired tables, and Chef Michael and his team deliver an impeccable meal.
