“Stopped by with my two girls on our way home from the Discovery Museum. They both got soft serve (swirl) and I got a “lollipop” (see pic) with vanilla and watermelon. The woman who served us was super nice, and our treats were so good on a 90 degree day. Will definitely stop by again next time we are in the area.”

“Coffee was good. A little less sweet than I'm used to but I think that's because they use maple syrup for certain drinks and their own house made syrups for other drinks. If you like your drink sweeter, you can always request it. Now... The gluten free waffles ? I can legit testify this is the best waffle I've ever had. Since hitting 30, I haven't been able to tolerate wheat products and I miss out on so many food items I used to love. Cordial is now my go-to for my favorite breakfast food! Their waffles are so decadent, they're basically dessert! I had the pumpkin spice waffle that is currently the special and, let me tell you, I literally moaned when I took the first bite. I didn't even get to eat this waffle right away because we had plans. It sat in the car for six hours ? That's telling in itself of how good it was to still be just as flavorful and wafflelicious six hours later! We will definitely be back! Next time, I hope to sit and chill in one of the comfy-looking couches while sipping my latte and gorging on a gluten free waffle ?”

“We stopped on Saturday after a funeral. We were warmly welcomed and quickly seated. Devil Eggs appetizer was very good. Great coffee. Nora had a turkey sandwich and French fries. It was very good served with a tasty sauce. I had a salad with chicken. Chicken was very tender with good taste and salad was very good, Overall lots of food reasonably priced. Would go back in a heart-beat! Service was good and coffee always keep full.”

“Since moving from San Diego California to Charles Town in early 2000s I always missed the abundant access to local fresh Mexican food; near impossible to find the same un-Americanized style in the Jefferson County area. When I stumbled across Ortega’s and then finding out the Ortega family was from my old stomping grounds, I felt like I struck gold. Being a local boutique pepper grower I was able to share peppers with Ortega’s from Jalapeños to Chocolate Habaneros. I’m a burrito lover and will ask to change up the carne asada burrito by removing most of the rice and beans and adding more carne to closer match the Taco/Burrito shops in San Diego of straight carne. The also make one of my fav if you lucky enough to find packaged in the counter fridge “escabeche” Mexican Pickled Jalapeño and Carrots (Jalapeño y zanahorias en escabeche). Ortega’s to truly a gem of Charles Town so please stop in and give them a try, I wish the Ortega’s team many more years of success! ”

The lady was very friendly and the wait wasn’t long we definitely will be back .”
