The food is exceptional. Everything was served fast, hot and tasted delicious. They sauce variety is tasty. The meat was so good and the sides were the perfect compliment. Don’t go for the ambiance, go for the food and you wont be disappointed.

Consistently some of the most flavorful and well seasoned food in town. I never hesitate to recommend this spot to folks and always enjoy my experience. Even when it’s busy I’m happy to see them doing business - get a drink and some tapas and settle in! Tonight I had a caipirinha, coxinha tapas with Chimichurri (stuffed fritter) and then a square meal with the chicken thighs, which is my go-to. Better parking than downtown and the wood fired grill right next to the dining room adds some nice ambiance. Quality, family run spot with from scratch cooking - a big win for Blacksburg.

Blacksburg’s greatest hidden gem has so much to offer. The menu brings a taste of Brazil to the NRV. An unsuspecting staple in the roster of Blacksburg restaurants, Gaucho breeds a wonderful experience through amazing food, service, and atmosphere. My favorite dish is the Estrogonofe, which contains creamy beef stroganoff, the most delicious, salty rice I’ve ever tried, and super satisfying potato crisps. You will not regret visiting!!

If you want fresh food and not the half frozen pre-packaged stuff you get at the chain restaurants, this is the place to visit.It was my first experience with Brazilian food and I absolutely loved it. But it is not just about the food, everyone that works there was genuinely friendly and ready to answer all of my questions about the menu.Meat is cooked to order on the grill inside the restaurant and you can actually see it being prepared by the owner of the place.I do not know the names of the menu items I had but I know the appetizers I had came in threes in a basket with a choice of sauce. I liked them all, especially plantains and this one bite that he Gorgonzola in the middle of it.Salad was fresh in a homemade dressing, chicken was juicy and flavorful with a wonderful hint of open fire flame. I also had flan and churros which are all made there and taste delicious. I’m f you like coffee go for iced cinnamon coffee which will tickle your taste buds and be the perfect ending to your meal. Oh, and if you are legal to drink, don’t miss out on the cosmopolitan! Absolutely delightful with addition of Cointreau, maple syrup and slice of an orange. I would get it again and again.Been there twice and will be coming back again next time I am in Blacksburg.

The food including the sauces and desserts were delicious, our server was very polite, even explained the whole menú to us. There is plenty of parking space, which is an issue with some restaurants in Blackburg. The wait was very long... but as soon the food came in we forgot about the wait. Take a light jacket with you, because the AC is very cold... I love cold AC, and even I was chilling. The problem with this is that your food will get cold quickly, so eat the items you like hot/warm first - example Steak.In my reviews of restaurants I privilege the food overall things, and this one deserves a 5 star rating.

I made reservations for Friday night, a month ago, anticipating our trip to Blacksburg. My VT son at last minute, added two to the group and I corresponded with the restaurant and they allowed the change. Even later, there were 6 more friends coming but it was too late to do it online. We walked in, asking for the increase. At first they said there was really no way they could accommodate us. After very little waiting (they said it would at least be an hour) they found us two tables right by each other and worked it so we could keep our resy and make the numbers upgrade. I appreciate that the management and staff worked diligently to make this happen. In addition, our table service was terrific. And finally, we ordered several of “the feast” for our group. It was delicious…black beans, beef, chicken, sausage and those wonderful sauces!! We are grateful for to have dined here tonight.
