“Quite possibly the best homemade ham/pepper jack/garden fresh tomatoes w/spicy mustard on freshly baked bread sandwich you will ever have. Full general store for soft drinks, bulk candies for the kids and maybe a hand carved birdhouse for that hard to buy for uncle. Cash/Check only, no plastic accepted. More than fair prices. Bonus points if you speak Dutch. Overall, lovely people to chat with during your visit. Great place to bicycle around. Drive slowly, and be aware of the horse drawn buggies. SIDENOTE: For you Jeep and adventure bike types, there is a southern exit (road 623), a rough and narrow rocky road, complete with oilpan sheering ruts and tight switchbacks up and down the mountain side. Would not recommend it for the family minivan, but doable if you know what you are doing.“
