“My husband, an avid fan of our local IHOP, didn't understand why I was insisting to locate & try Perkins on our road trip. We landed in our seats at 2:30, it took us at least 5 minutes to decide what we wanted to order, my husband craving a smoke asked if he would have time to smoke. Our fantastic hostess assured him he would have time, note we were seated as close as possible to the door. He walked out the door & I glanced at the dessert menu then in a blink, our hot food was on the table before my husband could return! It was 2:40! He was so delighted with how delicious his meal was that I got to say "I TOLD YOU IT WOULD BE WORTH IT" & he definitely agreed. I couldn't believe that I could actually order my BLT on SOURDOUGH bread! The Tomato Basil soup was the best that I've ever tasted! I can't remember the name but I searched out the lowest cal dessert, strawberry cream cheese something & it was mouthwatering. He had the Chicken Fried Steak & said it was the most tender he has ever had & he has ordered it from multiple eateries. Served exactly as he had asked. he had ordered a side of gravy because never before had he gotten enough gravy served on his plate. We had to take the side to go because his plate was perfect! We were both so full that we had to take dessert to go. I can't believe MY HUSBAND actually finished his entire banana nut muffin! Sweets are not his thing so I was expecting at least a bite offered to me. I took a 1/2 dozen pumpkin Muffins to family that had kept out dog & they reported them to also be fantastic. My only complaint was that they are so far from my home! I will be searching for an excuse to get back there a soon as possible!“

“This was one of the greatest restaurants I've ever visited! From the moment we arrived to the time we left, we were treated with courtesy and extremely thorough customer service. The host was welcoming and upbeat. Our server was so fun and friendly. She went above and beyond to make sure her tables were all taken care of. The food exceeded my expectations and the portions large. We had enough for another meal to go. I would recommend this location to everyone, and I will return.“

“My husband and I came on Sunday during Rthymn and Roots. Our Jamaican Jerk Chicken was excellent. It is one of my favorite dishes. The fried okra reminds me of something my grandmother would make. It’s delicious and classic southern cuisine. Based on the increased demands from the festival; the staff handled it very well! The customer service we received was above and beyond what we expected under these conditions. I hope the staff are able to get some rest after this. Thanks for the great food and service!!!“

“We went to the store at Exit 63 in Kingsport, near Tri-Cities Airport. We were seated right away, but waited 20 or so minutes with out any service. The tables beside us were quickly waited on. They didn't have many tables seated, so not very busy. We got up and left and drove to Exit 7. We were seated right away, the server (Anna) was there in just a couple of minutes to take our order. The kitchen was slow to get our food out for not being very busy. It was all good, hot and tasty. We typically wouldn't drive to Exit 7 but would return if we are in the area, but we are probably done with Exit 63 location.“

“Very first restaurant I've been to that the server has a tablet not a paper tablet either. They putting in your order and while they're still standing there chatting it up, our drinks were brought out by a food runner then a few minutes our salads.. It's about time we make it easier on the people that work their asses off to paid paid squat.. I've been a server for over 20 years. So I know. Go Chili's...“

“This was the best service we had in our two days in town. Beth (aka Della) was the consummate professional - attentive - great suggestions - jovial. The food was hot, tasty and arrived at the table in what seemed like no time at all despite how busy it was how clearly overextended the lack of staff had left our server. She didn’t let that deter her however and she was as top notch professional as any local restaurant could offer. We made special note to return on our next slide through Bristol. P.S. give Beth a raise.“
