Cafes near Broadway

“We visit the Country Cafe in Little Washington from time to time with our friend who lives there. I just heard that the owner is considering closing this wonderful restaurant and we are SO upset!! Betty always greets us so cheerfully and the cook makes my favorite BLT whenever we are there. My husband, Mack, always enjoys the special of the day and our friend has a sandwich she loves, too. The prices are VERY reasonable and the food is great! WHY close this restaurant that has been a tradition in Little Washington for as long as we can remember (30 years) of eating there. It's nice - in such a expensive town (cozy and lovely, but expensive!) to be able to go out to a good lunch and pay reasonable prices. And Betty is such an asset - she greets us and serves us and is always warm and welcoming - don't often find that in today's rush-rush world!! PLEASE DON'T CLOSE THE COUNTRY CAFE!!! “My girlfriend and I swung by here after dinner while visiting the area. We were glad to see a coffee shop that was open later. The staff was really nice and coffee drinks were reasonably priced and tasted great! We both had no idea it was a college coffee and was on the campus. It was worth the visit!“
