My family has been going here for years and it's one of our all-time favorite ice-cream places. The ice cream is handmade in-shop, and it's absolutely delicious. The staff is also lovely and it's a great local, woman-owned business to support!

I consider myself an ice cream connoisseur, and I have not found ice cream better than Brown Dog Ice Cream in downtown Cape Charles, VA.

The very first flavor I tried was coffee, and it was incredible. It had delicious little bits of coffee beans mixed in, which made it rich, flavorful, and memorable. The next flavor that stood out to me was strawberry because it tasted so fresh and real.

Honestly, I have not tried a flavor here yet that did...

We had a great experience! The ice cream was delicious and the facility was extremely clean. Our son has a peanut allergy and they took it very seriously. It was obvious they have been trained in cross contamination/allergen protocols. We went two times during our stay and protocols were followed consistently. Allergens are clearly marked.
