Gom Shabu Shabu is a good place for hot pot. There is plenty of parking in the adjacent lot. The sauce bar here is great, similar to some of the other hot pot places in Northern Virginia. I would recommend coming to this restaurant on the earlier side because it may get very busy later in the evening. Standouts included the fish balls and the scallops. The service was good too.
Haven't been here for many years and much has changed. Everyone gets the same base broth now loaded at their seat, and you choose a flavor which is brought to you and dumped in. We chose tonkatsu and this slightly purple colored clumpy looking bowl of mystery came out. The taste was very artificial and not pleasant. The meat and vegetable quality is decent, better than a couple of the other local spots. Options are limited however, especially at $35 a person. Service is also good...read full review

Went on a whim to gom shabu shabu since it was 15min away from me and it was delicious. Thankfully I had been to a hot pot place recently and realized that they have all the broth spices and meat dipping sauces on a island buffet in the middle, so I didn't miss out on that this time! The waitress came by to take our order almost immediately and everything came out right quick after we would ask for something. She even filled our broth without asking. Would definitely come again
