“When they're open, they're nice and the food is good. We usually just get the smoothies, but this morning we were getting food too. We ordered through the app to save a little time. The order automatically defaulted to pick up for tomorrow morning, which we thought was odd. When we got there around 7:20, however, we realized why. Lights were off, door was locked, and we didn't see anyone inside. We double checked the hours. Supposed to open at 7am. Weren't open yet. Hopefully we can get a refund for the order we won't need for tomorrow. Luckily Panera is open so we'll get breakfast there this morning. **updated my review. “I live in Fairfax and used to order from the McLean and Falls Church locations. Ever since I tried the Southbank store, it has become my go-to spot. The quality is consistently excellent, and the staff are always welcoming and friendly, no matter the time of the day.
My last visit was especially memorable. Accidents happen, and the lid on my drink wasn't secured properly, which resulted in a spill on my sweater and in my car. Kenny, the owner, handled the situation with kindness and professionalism and went out of his way to make things right. His excellent customer service left a lasting impression on me. This location has earned my loyalty, and it will be my go-to spot from now on.“

“My husband and I are currently on the Whole30 diet. We saw that Tropical Smoothie Cafe was able to make drinks that were approved by the diet, so we decided to stop in. When we went inside, the manager, Tim, showed us the menu with everything in all the smoothies, and he talked to us about what we could and couldn’t have in them. He was very concerned with making sure we got exactly what we needed to keep to our diet. I am very impressed with the management and the staff at this location. Overall, the experience was great and the smoothie was even better.“

“This place has a great selection of boba drinks. So far I’ve tried only two though: matcha milk tea ( my go-to drink) and ube coconut. The matcha is the best in town IMO! It’s very easy to adjust it to your strength and sweetness. Absolutely love it!! But you GOT to try the ube coconut!!!! My new absolute favorite!!! It’s THE BOMB!!! Again, the sweetness is easily adjusted. Just go and try it!! They also make bahn mi sandwiches. Looking forward to trying it!!“

“I would give this place 10 stars out of 5 if I could. You read that right.If the vegetables and fruits were any fresher, you'd be picking soil out your teeth. I wanted a spinach, celery, ginger, apple fruit smoothie, and I watched the nice lady cut a whole apple, deleaf the celery stalks, and slice the ginger root in front of my eyes. Super labor intensive and affordable. Meanwhile, Smoothie King... You know?And then she asked me "All natural? Or do you want honey or some sugar?""All natural," I said. Then she gave me a sample. I smacked my momma, who wasn't even there.I ordered 5 more smoothies.“

“I recently hosted an event in the new upstairs portion of the cafe. The Food, Service and Atmosphere were 10/10. Matt and Emily were so easy to work with and the guests loved the small spaces that made every interaction more intimate and fun!“

I also loved the chicken avocado flatbread—so flavorful and satisfying. “Management oversight needed. Placed a mobile order 2/25/2026 and the place was closed when it was supposed to be open. No one answers the phone line to get a refund. Got it sorted a week later. Placed another mobile order about 20 min before I picked up but it wasn’t even started because the young employee had AirPods in on phone and never heard the register. Floors are so filthy. The product is always good but more oversight is needed from owner/manager.“

“I bought a MangoNada was fresh and delicious and the young ladies make it right away this is my first time trying I am from New York and came to visit a friend I wish to have a mangolina that I can buy me a mangonada everyday on summer but not only that the staff was friendly and they went above and beyond giving recommendations what I can try and I am satisfied with my mangona and the customer service I got. I can’t wait to try the ice cream. I hope the owner can open more stores in New York“

“I love the place and the manager is very personable (sorry I cannot place his name at the moment) My daughter and I have started a routine where we stop in around 7:30am and have a smoothie. I have been having a Chipotle chicken wrap as well which has been delicious. My favorite smoothie is the Acai Berry Boost but I have tried several others under the managers suggestions and they have proven to be tasty as well. Pay them a visit, you will love the outcome.“

“This place was a vegetarian delight! I had cauliflower tacos with salad a verde and sprouted grain tortillas and it was incredible. I loved the flavor of the cauliflower and chikpea filling plus the spicy salsa verde was killer. I also had the chill juice drink and it was super flavorful and tasty! Very few times I actually go somewhere and never take a picture. I drank the green Avoclada smoothie, had the Thai chicken salad with a jerk chicken wrap. This place is pretty big on the inside with lot of seating. This was early in the morning around 8:30 am. I was surprised at this place was open but they service was pretty fast and efficient. I did not like the jerk chicken wrap but the Thai salad and the smoothie made up for the score. The jerk Chicken wrap just did not taste like jerk chicken at all 😭“
