this local place is just around the corner from a Starbucks and it is worth the extra steps to come down here. Atmosphere is cozy. Staff is pleasant in the coffee is amazing! Their Ethiopian is a medium roast and it is delicious!
First time visiting Charlottesville. So glad I followed friends’ recommendation to make Grit a must-try. Great coffee, wonderful pastries, and super friendly staff. Will visit again next time I’m in town. :)
If I could give Grit a 6/5 stars, I would! The coffee was AMAZING, such good quality coffee compared to where I live (Chapel Hill) and a great vibe! All of the staff were so kind and friendly, especially one girl (I think her name was Amelia). This is a must go to coffee spot!
