Amazing place! Delicious food and great service. Staff were so incredibly kind and the food was out of this world. Tables are pretty close together but we got to chat with the lovely table next to us. I can understand why this place was busy even though the town was quiet.
Maru was such a lovely surprise on the downtown mall! The food was excellent. We got 2 appetizers (dumplings and kimchi jeon) that were both superb! I got the Bibimbap with chicken and it was so so good. Our server was wonderful and very kind. I definitely recommend this place for anyone in Cville!
Maru is a short walk from our hotel (Omni) so we decided to head there for dinner after checking in. 100% satisfied with our decision!
We shared two jiggaes (doenjang with clams and soondubu with seafood) and a glass of makgeolli. Warmed us up on a cold evening with familiar flavours that tasted exactly like we were eating at a restaurant in Seoul! As someone who spent a few years living in Seoul, it was lovely to stumble upon such an authentic Korean restaurant...
