Had my son’s graduation dinner here. Party of 12. Wonderful food, with matching atmosphere. Everyone said their meal was terrific! When in Charlottesville pursuing the culinary scene… Tavern & Grocery is a must try! The chef did it up right!
I don't want to ding their current rating, so I'm giving four stars because they tried. We ate there last week and had pre-determined meal consisting of a small artichoke salad (3/5) a tasty chicken and risotto dish (4.5/5) and finally some kind of flourless brownie with a raspberry (I think) compote that was nearly inedible. Service is very good and the decor is charming.
