Adorable little breakfast place with a convenient location (however parking is only available across the street via a small garage that is pay per hour). Very homey and inviting, super kind waitstaff, and very good and affordable!!

So full!

Food was good for the price, fresh fruit wasn't all that fresh and the huevos rancheros is fairly under seasoned (not at all seasoned) the grits are fantastic as are the biscuits and gravy.

We came here when our first choice told us they were only by reservation. It's an old house on a side street with some indoor and outdoor seating. The menu had lots of choices that sounded good and made it hard to decide. I went with the California eggs Benedict and a side of potatoes. The eggs were poached well and the hollandaise tasted great. They came on a biscuit (was expecting English muffin) which was ok. The avocado wasn't the best and the tomato was ok. The potatoes were well seasoned but overall the food wasn't very hot. Had a sticky bun which was ok - a little dry and the caramel was a little overcooked/dark for my liking. My friends got grits which I tasted and really liked - definitely weren't instant. The shrimp and grits tasted really good too. It's kind of a small place and they got busy fast. Waitress was really nice and I don't think anyone had any issues not getting something they ordered or an incorrect order

Was visiting the area and came for brunch with a friend. Our server was helpful and friendly. We ordered the avocado toast and one of the Benedicts, both with a side of the brunch potatoes. The entrees themselves were really delicious and filling. Unfortunately the potatoes were INCREDIBLY salty--like basically inedible because of how salty they were. Interestingly, the Benedicts are served on biscuits, which wasn't really made clear in the menu. The biscuits were a bit dry and not what I had hoped they would be, but still decent.

-What you need to know in a sentence: All American breakfast food tucked in a cozy house. -Ambiance in threeish words: a house that is loosely decorated by an eccentric aunt or elementary child -Treated like: a chipper college kid was eager to help us get our brunch fix -Must try: nothing really stood out to me :/ -Other random tidbits:

Good breakfast. Coffee is a little weak. The red eye gravy is good.

I liked the ambiance and service but the food was just ok.

The French toast was a little dry but still tasty. Could of say in the eggs longer before being cooked. They had the best grits I have ever eaten

I'm gonna go back & hopefully up my ranking. The Bloody Mary's were good, but the food and service tanked it. Maybe they were having a bad day? Short staffed? The management was very gracious about our issues & comped our check, which they didn't have to do, so I'll definitely go back for another try.

Painfully slow service, food was served cold, food quality was rather dull and the entire restaurant needs a deep cleaning. I've seen cleaner bathrooms at truck stops along the highway. I don't understand why this place is so popular or how the health department hasn't cited them.

Service was decent. Food was horrible. Tried to support local but will not be back. Red eye gravy looked and tasted like

The staff is hardworking but spread a little thin. A proposed 10-15 minute wait becomes 30-40. Service was so slow and took forever, not because the kids weren't hustling or the cook wasn't trying. And due to the cold, there was only one outside table, so it isn't as if every table was occupied. Breakfast took 2 hours from arrival to departure. It would be nice if they had at least a loaf of GF bread. Nothing crazy, just a bread option. Also, the table next to the toilet (you are seated inches from the door) has no buffer from the awful bathroom smells - joining you while you eat. A bit nauseating.

The food here is the exact kind of food you want to be eating on a Sunday morning. Seating inside is a bit limited so we were a little chilly sitting on the outside porch but it wasn't terrible. We ordered the home again, messenger, and the California Bennie; everything was tasty, nothing is mind glowingly spectacular but it's still good and made fresh. Our waiter was very kind and attentive, but food took about 45 minutes to come out (not his fault). Overall we were pretty satisfied and full! Would give it 3.5 stars if I could
