Not really one to leave reviews but I’m from Southwest Georgia and this is by far the best soul food I’ve had in ages. The portions sizes are amazing and the flavor is truly to die for. Hands down best soul food spot in the state. Worth every penny.
It's not called A-Mayes anymore, but it's the same food. It does cost more than other soul food spots not too far away, but you get a lot of food. They're always busy but it's not a long wait. I've never had any issues with my food. It's always hot and well seasoned.
Food was ridiculous. Ribs were loaded, typically ill get em on a rack these are solo and LOADED idk how they get so much meat on a single rib bone but they have the absolute most. Yamz Mwah perfection, cabbage super soft textured ? southern 10/10 pops got a fish plater and he couldnt even finish the shrimp and fish excellent portions thr corn bread is literally a personal pie nice glaze in a xl muffin sleeve and its own bag . So good I left my phone up there and had to come...
